Becker College, founded in 1784, is a vibrant private institution with two campuses located just a few miles apart in Worcester and Leicester, Massachusetts. Ranked in the top 10 for the last two years in the U.S. and Canada for video game design by The Princeton Review, Becker College also hosts the Massachusetts Videogame Institute on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Becker serves more than 1,750 students from 30 states and 17 countries and offers 27 degree programs that launch diverse, 21st century careers ranging from animal sciences, business, education and psychology, to nursing and health science. The academic program includes traditional classroom and curricular experience, internships and cooperative education placements, as well as a variety of learning options designed for a growing population of returning adult students. The Position

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership in advancing the College's recruitment, retention, and enrollment goals. The Vice President serves as the chief admissions officer and also provides vision and oversight to the offices of financial aid and the registrar. Utilizing a data-informed, matrixed approach to build enrollment and strategically leverage financial aid, the Vice President will have significant impact in shaping the direction, reputation, and future of the College. Raising institutional visibility, expanding the applicant pool, and harnessing technological resources to market the College are key priorities. The Vice President will work collaboratively with many campus stakeholders and is tasked with leading and engaging faculty, staff, students, and alumni to support strategic institutional goals. Additionally, the Vice President ensures compliance with all federal and state regulations; maintains the institutional commitment to superior customer service; collaborates closely with marketing professionals to enhance brand awareness and strengthen communication with prospective students and family members, as well as with secondary and community college constituents; upholds the integrity of academic records and policies; and assures effective use of technology and analysis of data in achieving enrollment and retention objectives. The Vice President cultivates innovation, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development throughout a division of 20 staff; directly supervises a senior management team of 3 professionals; and manages an operating budget of approximately $ 209,000.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten years of progressive experience in a college or university setting, including demonstrated success in a strategic enrollment management function. A master's degree is preferred. Documented evidence of strategic planning and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage and develop staff are required. An understanding of enrollment management issues in a tuition-driven environment; contemporary knowledge of technology and its application to the enrollment management process in which admissions and financial aid are closely integrated; facility with big picture thinking and tactical implementation; and the ability to make data-driven decisions are essential to success. A demonstrated record of success in recruiting and enrolling a diverse, academically talented class and managing a clear and customer service oriented communication plan targeted to prospective students, parents and other constituents will also be important considerations in the selection of the Vice President of Enrollment Management.
