Edwin Hamada

Assistant Vice President for the Residential Experience

Since becoming a Resident Advisor as an undergraduate at the University of San Francisco (USF), Edwin Toshio Hamada knew that working with students would be his vocation.  After receiving his degree in psychology at USF, he completed his master’s degree from Western Illinois University and recently was granted his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Washington. Edwin has worked professionally at San Jose State University, UC-Irvine, the University of Washington, Washington State University and will be joining Colorado College in the fall as the Assistant Vice President for the Residential Experience.  Edwin is a collaborative leader who builds strong teams and enjoys mentoring the next generation of student affairs professionals. He is excited to team up with Colorado College in this uncommon time to contribute to the environment where students and staff thrive and cultivate their imagination.
