Since 1991, Spelman Johnson has successfully completed a significant number of leadership searches in the areas of finance and administration. Additionally, we have conducted numerous searches for new leaders overseeing auxiliary services, budget administration, dining and housing services, as well as campus safety, human resources, and facilities management which typically fall within the portfolio of a senior finance and administration officer. Our proprietary database contains nearly 6,500 professionals in the area of finance and business administration. In our total network of more than 145,000 individuals, approximately 11,200 professionals are engaged at the vice president or associate vice president level within higher education institutions giving Spelman Johnson an exceptional reach into individuals with competencies and connections well-matched to help us identify and source talent ready to advance into a senior leadership position. Additionally, Spelman Johnson is part of a NACUBO (National Association of College and University Business Officers) committee that is working with NACUBO to brainstorm pathways to the CFO position with a focus on creating a stronger pipeline of leaders. Spelman Johnson has also done professional development work with the NACUBO Fellows program supporting professionals interested in moving into the CFO role.
