Spelman Johnson will be participating again this year in the 2018 Women’s Leadership Institute, to be held from December 2-5, 2018 in Newport Beach, CA. This program is designed for women who aspire to become senior leaders in higher education. Women professionals whose current responsibilities include administrative functions that regularly require strategic decision making affecting departmental operations who are seeking to increase their leadership profile would benefit greatly from the Institute, which features a curriculum with an overall focus on building the next generation of leaders in higher education administration, and will address such issues as leadership self-assessment, fiscal management, intercultural competencies, etc. This is an exceptional professional development opportunity and I hope that you will consider attending, or will encourage a colleague to attend.
Spelman Johnson is delighted to be offering five scholarships to cover registration fees for the Institute. Scholarships are open to all those who wish to apply; however, there will be preference given to women professionals from Community Colleges, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, or Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions.
